What is pyramid training?

Pyramid training is the method of increasing poundages with each set until the desired amount of weight is reached while reducing the amount of reps.

What are drop sets?

Drop sets is the method of training that involves decreasing the weight being used after the muscle has reached fatigue and then continuing the set to further the intensity on that working muscle.

What is a superset?

A superset is two or more different exercises performed in a row without stopping for opposing muscle groups.

What is the Progressive overload principle?

This principle is commonly known to involve working a muscle group at the beginning of the week with high reps and sets but not maximum weight. The second session of the week would involve an increase in the weight but not working to complete exhaustion. The third session would involve an all out effort with a near maximum weight performing four to six repetitions per set.

What is a compound set?

A compound set is two or more exercises performed in a row without stopping for the same muscle group.
