The SACRIFICE................ Friends, Family, personal time, personal possessions, vacations, love, self happiness. I have given up all of these things for what seems to have been the most important thing that I possess: The ability to enact change and bring enhanced health to those who come to me because that is what they seek. I have given up anything and everything that is for myself and have given all of me to the business that needs me. At times, I have often given TOO much of myself. Through the 10 years I have worked in this business, I have given it my all. I have done this for you. You who seeks out me to help direct you to a healthier lifestyle. I have done this without ever asking what was in it for me. I have only cared that through my skills and abilities, I could help you to change your life and give you greater vitality; vitality that will give you years beyond an irresponsible handling of your health and wellness. I have done this for you. For it is you that makes me who I am. It is you that defines me as what it is that I am: A coach, A mentor, A trainer, A motivator, A Friend. I am all these things to the clients I work for or the many people that seek me out through the web; Whether they are looking for advice, guidance, assistance, or direction. Without asking for anything in return, I give that to you. Whether another professional or a client seeking guidance. I have chosen YOU above all else. It is that choice that leaves me only this business in my life. When you seek a trainer, ask yourself how much they believe in you or how much it is that they will believe in you. I have done this in my own practice and for my clients, in New York and around the country. I have made less money than I could have and have walked away from hundreds of thousands of dollars because I would NOT sacrifice my ethics for money! I have turned away from family because they thought fighting for this dream of being in business was ridiculous. I have walked away from business models of my own design because my partners could care less about the standard of service you received. I have worked 7 DAYS A WEEK for YEARS now! I have sacrificed the greatest possession of my life for YOU! I have given up all those personal possessions (AND THINGS MORE DEAR TO ME THAN YOU COULD BEGIN TO IMAGINE) for YOU, the fitness business. I know my purpose and have done this for YOU, that person who seeks ME! YOU are all that I have and nearly all of what I have wanted. When you seek the guidance of a trainer or a professional to help you in your fitness endeavors, ask him or her to qualify themselves. Their passion for their work will ultimately reflect in you. So, ask yourself, "Is my trainer passionate about me?" You may ask my clients if you wish. They'll give you a simple answer, "Phil? Passionate about my goals and his role in the fitness business? Just a little..." |
