THE 70’s EXPERIENCE

Dear Competitor,

            If there was a question as to whether or not we ARE the THEMED BODYBUILDING SHOW that first time (and ‘Experienced’) competitors choose, those questions were undoubtedly answered!  We did our best to bring you a great show and each one of you took it upon yourself to elevate the bar of how a bodybuilding show should be!   Why was the show so great?  (as we’ve been told)  Because YOU made it that way, each one of you!   We were so pleased with each one of you!   You were, without question, the greatest athletes we have run into yet!   The warm up area was virtually spotless (for a pump room that is!! J)     We couldn’t believe how clean and orderly you all kept things.  Thank you for helping us with that.  Each one of you was cordial and respectful of the auditorium and each other.   You all worked together to make the show run smooth and make things enjoyable for the audience, for yourselves, and for us!  Let me explain what I saw that demonstrates what kind of people you are:

• Nando Sala must have thanked me 5 times for how much fun he had and how much he appreciated the show we ran
• Christine Loughran ( a first time competitor and a tremendously professional young lady) gave away a bottle of dream tan to a competitor whose dream tan was shipped too late for the show.  She then allowed yours truly to use the other ½ of her dream tan to allow me to prep her competition, Joan Brenner.  Both young ladies posed in the back together and then took the stage to compete!  A true act of sportsmanship demonstrated by both ladies!
• Willie Langley:  Do I need to say anything more about this guy?   We screwed up his music, gave him “Superstitious” to pose to and he brought the house down!  (Winner of the audience choice award for sure!)  He hugged me and thanked us for such a great time!  We thanked HIM for forgiving our mistake and making the show fun and exciting for everyone, including Durlan and me!

• Nick Zubulake emailed me a wonderful thank you for an excellent show!  He went on to say how his people were very entertained by the band and the videos!  His email to us said it all in a few words!  Thank you, Nick.  Congratulations on your win!
• Fatima Martins (our figure winner) emailed us to let us know that,  “…I had so much fun and so did my friends and family.  The competitors were great, all very nice to one another and it seemed like everyone had a great time doing the show…..I’ll definitely recommend your show to others in the future.”   (Thank you Fatima!  That is the greatest compliment you could give us!)
• Competitors that I’ve become friendly with because of the INBF, thanked me countless times and affectionately praised the show over and again.  Those guys included Clement Yearwood, Fred Borzumato, Tony Danvers (most improved in my opinion),  Devon Horsford (our overall winner due to his improved conditioning….again, my opinion),Lenny Dohler, Greg Byers, Adam Zimmerman, and Joe Campos. 
• Your friends and families shook my hand and commended us on a great show at the end of the evening.  Please thank them for us!

And of course, the list goes on.   There was so much that happened that night, it’s hard to keep track of it all.  I’m still hearing stories that I didn’t know about!!  Judge Matt Viemeister told me that people from the show (including competitors) were tailgating in the parking lot!   (Is that a first???)

We tried to give you and your family ‘the price of admission’.  We handed out 5 door prizes to your people to show them we didn’t forget about them, gave away $500 to two very wonderful people who will use that money for charitable purposes, put each of you ‘center stage’ as often as we could, and did our best to entertain your friends and families through our flair for entertainment, our love of humor, and the desire to draw our audience into the show as often as possible.  Each one of you showed how special you really are and we only care about giving you everything possible!  THAT has been the goal since Long Island Experience I.   Your enjoyment and thrill comes first, our financial outcome to the show is second if not last.  If you felt like you went home a winner, we did our job! 

            We’re not going to make everyone happy, we know that.  However, we always aim to make AS MANY people happy as possible.  We can’t please everyone, but we certainly try.  Please don’t forget about the other people that brought you a great show:

We tried to send each one of you home a winner and hope you felt that way.  Our aim is to deliver to you as much as possible and take every step to make sure YOU know that WE will always put YOU first!!   You all did great and as expected, we learned that you are all very special people, each one of you.  You were very cordial, very respectful, and paid Dr. Castro and me very wonderful praise.  Thank you for expressing your feelings.  This means a lot to us.
